Furious Sauces is a hot sauce company located in Harrisonburg Virginia, nestled within the Shenandoah Valley.
It was Christmas Eve of 2014. Like every year before it, Gloria and I spent the evening with family, cooking a big meal and talking about things that happened throughout the year. This particular year was different. Instead of talking about things from the past and remembering old stories, Gloria and I discussed potential ideas for a startup business. Both of us grew up in entrepreneurial families where we witnessed the successes, failures, and most importantly the passion our parents had for working together. Gloria and I wanted to start something we were both passionate about.
"You know, we put hot sauce on everything" Gloria had said to me during dinner when she realized both of our dishes were covered in hot sauce. "We should start our own hot sauce business". Little did we know that our passion for making hot sauce was literally staring us in the face!
Three months later in March of 2015, we established Furious Sauces. Our goal was to create a unique blend of hot sauces that have a powerful kick that won't overpower the taste of your food, and will keep the heat from lingering too long. With that statement in mind, Gloria and I spent five months crafting and perfecting the recipes for five sauces we named "The Fury 5" to launch our company with. The initial feedback we received from friends and family on our final recipes were very positive and that's when Gloria and I knew that we finally found the right blend of spices and taste for our sauces.Gloria and I are now certified acidic food processors ready to share our hot sauces with the rest of the world!
